Are you in the UK today? Yes? Then hold on to your hat! Wind affects our mental state according to Ayurveda – a traditional Indian health system.
Do you get agitated, irritated or a bit discombobulated by wind? (No not that kind of wind). If you get affected by a windy day you could have excess Vata in your system – nothing to worry about! In Ayurveda we all fall into 3 constitutional types and Vata is one of them. If we have too much Vata we are prone to insomnia, digestive issues, anxiety and other problems but in balance it can create energy and activity. If you’re having a blustery day, practice grounding yoga poses such as most standing poses and seated poses where your pelvis is planted equally on the floor.
